Who I Am
I am the creator of Tulipgold and a long-time admirer of calm, inviting living spaces. My appreciation for solar energy comes from personal experience. Years ago, I lived in Africa, where some areas had electricity while many small villages did not. In those places, we relied on hurricane lamps, flashlights, and simple solutions, even though a transistor radio could still be heard far out in the bush.
Seeing life both with and without electricity made a lasting impression on me. Solar energy would have been incredibly useful at that time, but it simply did not exist as it does today. That experience shaped how I see solar power now and why I value it so deeply.
I was born in northern Europe and now live in a sunnier part of Europe, where summer is my favourite season. Here, I enjoy using solar lamps throughout my garden, along pathways, above my garage, and as decorative lighting. I have quite a collection, and while my friends sometimes joke about it, they never doubt what to give me for birthdays or Christmas.
