-Flowers
-Silica Gel, Flower Drying Art
-Tissue paper
-Shadow Box
-Tupperware
-Scissors
-Gloves
-Glue Gun
Step by Step Instructions
Made in 2 steps days apart:First day:
Step 1: use only fresh Roses, cut the flower so you leave a bit of the stem
Step 2: put the flowers on some Tissue paper to make sure there is no water
Step 3: take off the loose or not so nice-looking petals
Step 4: put some Silica Gel in a Tupperware
Step 5: Now put the flower in the Gel, so the flowers are standing up and down
Step 6: when all flowers are in, add Silica Gel on top, make sure all the flowers
are covered in between the petals so the Gel can soak up the moisture
Step 7: Now put the lid on and leave it for 36-48 hours
Second day:
Step 1: take the flowers out, make sure they are dry, if not leave them for another day
Step 2: if you do not want to get the Gel under your nails, use gloves
Step 3: now glue the flowers to the back of the box by using a generous amount of hot glue
Step 4: the choice is yours if you want to put the glass on or not
To preserve your roses with Silica Gel and arrange them in a Shadow Box is a nice, easy way to always have décor in your house, the Box can be standing or hanging, it will as well make a beautiful personalized gift to a loved one, or maybe you just want to enjoy your lovely rose from the garden in the wintertime as well.
