Those lights with recharging batteries powered by the sun are 43" in height, easy to "jam" into the ground, and will last for 12 hours if they have been charges for 8 sunny hours.
They go on automatically from dusk and off at dawn, they are weatherproof, and can be used all year, though the length of the light depends on the length of the charge in the sun.
Automatic turning on and off is a great advantage of those lamps, no need for you to remember to swift on the outdoor light, when going out, and coming back the light is on.

I have lots of them, let me give you a tip, if battery capacity goes down over time, switch the light off for 3-5 sunny days, which will boost the batteries.
