For the solar remember to switch the position ON, and find a sunny spot, as the sun rotates during the day, make sure they don't come into shadow later in the day by the house, wall, trees, and bushes.
They will automatically turn on at dusk and glow into the night depending on the time in the sun, and the time of the year, the colder the longer time for charging the batteries which are included.
It is an easy addition to the garden and you will have the joy of it all year.
It is convenient to put in the garden, no maintenance is needed, no adding to the electricity bill, no need to water, no need to dig any cord into the ground, no need to be near a plug, and easy to move if you find another more suitable place.
And let me tell you something, this plant doesn't need any trimming as the live plants do, and oh my, are they horrible to handle, I assure you YES, because I had one, and they are not easy to trim without any cuts and bruises so I'm definitely going for the artificial ones.
